Criminal Defense and DUI representation by an Attorney/Scientist

Okorie "Dr. DUI" Okorocha, Esq. is a high-profile California Attorney who is retained by clients in California from San Francisco to Los Angeles and Fullerton, because of his expertise in DUI and Criminal Defense.

Dr. DUI is chosen by Judges/Commissioners to represent them personally, as well as their family members and friends.

In 2009, his DUI and Criminal Defense expertise resulted in the Los Angeles District Attorney's office's filing of an opposition brief in the Los Angeles Superior Courts specifically requesting that Mr. Okorocha not be appointed to represent indigent defendants.

Every major newspaper in the United States has covered a case involving the work of Okorie Okorocha.

It is not uncommon for Mr. Okorocha to receive referrals from a Judge or other Judicial officer.

When retained, all cases are handled by Mr. Okorocha personally and are not passed on to an associate or less qualified attorney.

Watch DUI attorney Okorie Okorocha's video about breathalyzers:

A person accused of a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) is inundated with mail from attorneys claiming to have expertise in DUI and offering to handle the matter for a $1000 or something thereabouts and then have the person plead guilty.

If you plan to plead guilty, do not want to go to trial or just want to get it over with, those attorneys are great.

On the other hand, if you are ready for a fight, and want a DUI Lawyer who is also a scientist to represent you and take on the government's junk science used to determine blood-alcohol-level, we can help.

One common misconception is that the breath or blood test given the accused is the only factor considered and if you are over the limit according to the test, you are guilty.

The fact is that most chemical testing in DUI cases is based on junk science and flawed methods that have been given credibility by government propaganda and the government's case can be dismantled by a skilled DUI Attorney

When a person operates a moving vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, he or she is considered to be driving under the influence (DUI). In California, an individual is considered too drunk to drive a car when his/her blood alcohol content (BAC) is 0.08% or higher. Under California’s zero tolerance policy, if a driver is under the age of 21, he/she cannot have a BAC higher than 0.01%. When BAC levels reach the legal limit, a driver’s physical and mental capabilities become impaired, increasing the chances of getting in an accident that may cause serious injury, damage, or death.

If law enforcement suspects an individual is driving under the influence, they have the right to test the driver’s level of sobriety. This can be done through a series of basic field sobriety tests, or with a breath or blood test. After conducting these tests, if the law enforcement officer finds the driver has a BAC over the 0.08% legal limit, then he/she can arrest the driver on DUI charges.

In addition to these tests, law enforcement will look for common signs of intoxication, including slurred speech, bloodshot eyes, alcohol on the breath, open containers of alcohol, disgruntled appearance, flushed checks, and loud behavior.

If you get arrested for DUI, your driver’s license will automatically be suspended for at least 30 days. In addition, if you are convicted of drunk driving you could face a variety of legal penalties, including probation, monetary fines, driver’s license suspension, community service, alcohol rehabilitation, and even time in jail.
